Getting here

How to get to Robertson from Cape Town

Robertson is about 160 km east of Cape Town. The drive takes a little under two hours.

  1. Leave Cape Town on the N1 heading east and stay on it through the Huguenot Tunnel, the toll tunnel under the Du Toitskloof mountains. Worcester is roughly 110 km out.
  2. At Worcester, take the R60 signposted for Robertson and Swellendam.
  3. Follow the R60 down the Breede River Valley for another 45 km or so and it runs straight into Robertson. Route 62 carries on east from here, through Ashton to Montagu.

Flying in

Cape Town International is the nearest airport and the drive is much the same — join the N1 and follow the route above. Hire a car while you are there: the cellars in the valley are spread out and there is no practical public transport between them.

Parking and arrival

There is free parking at the house. Check in any time after 3pm using the lockbox, so there is no arrival window to hit at the end of a long drive.
